The definition of a good gadget

It's really very simple. The definition of a good gadget is one that, if lost or broken, you replace within a week. Few things meet this criterion: certainly not yoghurt-makers, ice-cream machines, fondue sets - the kind of things which, when broken, actually yield up a bit of useful cupboard space.

Here are a few things which match up.

1) Mobile phone
2) Wireless broadband
3) A Nespresso machine (as distinct from a conventional espresso machine - mine have usually lain unused)
4) Sky+
5) An ice-making machine

Even my iPOD does not make it into this list. Nearly, but not quite.
